Over the past three years the NZFGA has grown membership substantially, brought some much needed unity to the industry, provided significant member only benefits and represented the industry to Government on a range of issues – most notably, bio-security concerns around imports, the future structure and implementation of border control and the Emissions Trading Scheme.
At the next AGM of the NZFGA to be held later this year a number of the current executive intend stepping down after many years of active service for the industry. These retiring members need to be replaced with enthusiastic and committed growers from throughout the country and across a range of crops.
